The closing ceremony of the EUG2024 in the Hungarian cities of Debrecen – Miskolc marked the final moment of the 2024 European Universities Games. On this occasion, there was the official handover of the flag to Salerno, where the EUG European UniversitiesGames, are scheduled for 2026. The important ceremony was enthusiastically attended by the vice-rector of the University of Salerno, professor Carmine Vecchione, the member of the Executive Committee of FISU (International Federation of University Sports) as well as president of CUS Salerno, lawyer Lorenzo Lentini and the general director of the University of Salerno, Dr. Attilio Riggio.
